Painting – Design and Technique March 31 - May 5, 2009 (Tuesdays, 1-4pm or 6-8:30pm) — Open to all levels, this on-going, challenging course will expose you to principles of design and visual language. Primarily an oil painting class, the goal is to equip you with the skills necessary to fulfill your own artistic vision. This class is taught with the individual artist in mind, teaching principles of the visual language without smothering artistic vision. In a progressive and comprehensive manner, you will be trained to look, to see, to think in a sensitive way to equip you to make your art completely your own. True artistic freedom comes when you have developed the skills to convey, on a two-dimensional surface, what your vision and taste has led you to paint.
